Santa, if you're listening....

Chloe decided spontaneously to write a letter to Santa today. She worked hard for several minutes and then when she was finished, I asked her to read it to me... thinking I would get some insight on what this little girl wanted for Christmas. The letter goes as follows (and yes, this is a word for word quotation):

Dear Santa,
I love you. Bring me toys. I want candy, puzzles, a green snake, and an orange turtle. You are my best friend. Thank you.

Chloe Jane Morgan

I guess this is more information than the "pink" that I got from her last year... I informed her that Santa only has pretend animals (no real snakes or turtles). She told me that she had asked him and he DOES have real snakes and turtles.... Anywho, if someone can find me something cute and NOT LIVING that fits her requirements, let me know.

Gavin's new tongue

Gavin's "old" tongue... you can see the heart shape from where it was tethered in the middle. This is the farthest he has ever been able to stick out his tongue. We have never seen the tip. And actually, this was shocking to me to see it this far out.
Gavin today! If there was any doubt before about whether he needed it done... that was all changed once I saw this. He LOVES to play with his "new" tongue. He thinks it is hilarious.

Gavin was really fussy right after the surgery... but once he could eat (for the first time in FIFTEEN hours!) he was a happy camper. Actually, he has been hardcore teething and since he is getting tylenol for the pain in his tongue... he is happier today than he has been in the last three! As you can see by the picture, he isn't too upset by the whole experience.

My long-haired, snot-nosed, drooly-chinned, crazy-tongued, BEAUTIFUL little guy!
Oh, and here is his newest trick!

Chloe's artistry

Here is a picture of Grandma. Chloe wrote "Grandma" above the picture. If you look carefully, you can see the letter t, c and o... the only three letters she knows. Of course the c is backwards, but it is still pretty good for three I think.

Chloe and Daddy playing guitar

It is a little dark, but cute none-the-less.

Random new pics

This kiddo is becoming such a ham. He has such a "littlest" personality. He tries to torment his sister all the while playing innocent to his parents.
At the top of the mountain on our hike on Wednesday. We went with the highschool backpacking club and the kids were a big hit.
Doesn't he look TALL in this picture??

Umm.... yeah.... you tell an enthusiastic 18 month old that the dress up clothes aren't for him. I bet you couldn't do it either.

Chloe's new bedroom without the crib! Gavin has been officially banished to the basement! Of course, that is a finished basement with a whole room to himself that he chose OVER the room upstairs. But it sounds cooler to say we stick our son in the basement.
