Santa Photo Op

So, on Saturday we went to have the kids' annual portraits done. This was a little bit of a disaster. Gavin is apparently WAY more sensitive than I thought. Dan and I snickered at a funny face he made and he cried most of the rest of the way through the session. He kept telling me he couldn't do it, it was too hard. Broke momma's heart. I learned my lesson. But we went from there on to the Fort Valley Nursery to see their Santa. Totally different experience. Both kids were happy and excited!
I love how Gavin is playing with his beard here!

Santa whispering to Gavin to leave him some cookies. This Santa had at least 5 minute conversations with each kid. He was awesome!

Both kids together. Chloe in her annual Christmas dress. (Just so you know, Gav didn't wear the TRex sweater in his portraits. Maybe if he had, things would have gone differently. You live, you learn.)

Chloe pulled a "I want a dollhouse" out of left field... um.... Santa might have to think about that one.

Chloe"s birthday

This never got published for some reason.... So, a few months later, here you go!

Presents!
Giving her brother a kiss

Giving his sister a kiss - notice her expression

Gavin's reaction to his sister's kiss
Then they both turned and kissed each other smack on the lips by accident. I managed to catch their reaction!

Halloween and dress up

Halloween was postponed due to the storm. We got to go out a week later.

Evan loves dressing up  like a vet.

October storm

The view out our front window

We ended up cutting down one of these trees.
The fire was cosy, but not really good at heating the house for three days we didn't have power.

Nick's new room

After a frantic week of painting, Nick got his big boy bed...

... the day the snowstorm struck.

Tenth Anniversary and Public Garden

Dave and I had a nice, little trip to Cape Cod to celebrate our tenth anniversary.

I can't remember if I published these shots... we went to the Public Gardens in Boston. It was a gorgeous day. We took a ride on the swan boats and visited the famous duckling statues.

Evan's Birthday and riding a horse

The gang!

Our neighbor's second birthday party featured two horses walking around the bakyard! My kiddos rode them constantly!
