A Few More

I couldn't resist showing off these pictures too!

Dave is especially proud of the shot above.

First Day

So, believe it or not, these are just a few of the may pictures we took over the vacation. Above, Evan on the plane. Below- after dinner we went to the Naples pier to watch the sunset. Of course, I couldn't resist getting my feet in the ocean. Apparently, Evan couldn't resist getting his whole body in the ocean. He was so happy and just kept running in and out of the surf. The light
was perfect for pictures.

Beach Combing

Here's a cute one of Nick at the park at Tiger Tails Beach.

We got up early on our second day in FL to go beach combing. We tried to keep Evan out of the water, but you can see he ended up taking his shorts off. Dave took the shot above. It was fun to watch these little clams dig in the sand after every wave.

Building sand castles at Clam Pass Beach.

Inspecting a baby bow head shark that washed up.
Evan showing off his sea shell with barnacles on it.

Look carefully at his face; he is covered in icecream! We had a great day and he was sooo tired!

Fishing trip!

Ev's first fish. The couple next to us (Tom and Marie) fish at the pier everyday and know how to do it. They must have caught 10 fish in the time were there and that was not counting the 10 minutes spent getting Evan's big catch off the reel! (Cheryl are you wondering, yet? Everyone else has heard the story!)

Everglades

This was the first alligator we saw. When we stopped the car, he sunk down and turned to look right at us! After a few minutes, he decided we were okay and swam by.

An osprey nest. We saw manatees, but could get a good picture.

These are Snowy something birds! It was quite a site to see them flying through this mangrove creek in front of us.

Fishing and Everglades

Dave was the only one to actually catch a fish. He caught a small Jack fish. I'll get Evan's infamous catch up as soona s I can!

This was a huge gator, right by the side of the road. David and Evan got within 8 feet of it. While that was a bit closer than probably wise to do, there were about a dozen other people standing that close too.

Dave really liked the Strangler Fig's hold on this tree.

Day at the Zoo

We went to the zoo with my friend Stacey, who took my maternity photos. She took these pictures and was kind enough to send them to me.

That is her son in the background jumping over Max.
