Little red hen

So, this is Chloe reading the little red hen. If you don't speak "Chloe-ese" or you aren't very familiar with the story, you probably won't understand half of what she is saying. But she goes in this order: Who will help me plant this grain of wheat? Who will help me reap this grain of wheat? Who will have me 'dough' ? Then she ends with , "I will eat it myself" though this last word is cut off when the battery dies. Anyway, enjoy...

Chloe

We made "easter egg" cookies today that Chloe got to decorate herself. She enjoyed that just a little.

Chloe loves her leap pad (and Dora too I am afraid)!

Chloe likes to have just a little company during her naps...
Chloe is safe in the kitchen. She even uses potholders! :)

Just an assortment of pics I've collected over the last few days. None of Gavin right now because he is hidden under a veil of snot. Gotta love kids with colds!

Forgot to post this.....

Meant to post this that weekend, but you know how it is! He looks thrilled about the whole thing, don't you think?

Gavin's first real word

Is anyone surprised that it is 'ball"? The best part is the glow in his eye when I hand it to him and I think he actually snuggles it for a minute! He is a one hit wonder for now, but he is getting close to some others.

Williamsburg

It was a nice trip but not as relaxing as we had hoped. Gavin got his tail kicked by the beginnings of a cold. So we got very few pictures since the camera lady was with Chloe on her own while Daddy tried to get Gavin to sleep.

Fun, fun, fun

Evan found all the tissue paper from the baby shower my school had for me. It kept him entertained for a good 45 minutes.
Our little rocker!

Doula

I created a blog for the Doula program I am helping to pull together. It is pretty basic right now but I would love your feedback and thoughts. Once we get more details I will be adding venue, hotels and all that logistical stuff.

Let me know if you see any spelling mistakes (my biggest problem)!!

Gavin's birthday party

I love this... it looks like he is trying to parallel park!

Chloe liked skeeball even though she never made it in!

Chloe's second family.... Missa, Shelton and Cassy

Siena enjoyed her cake.
Chloe & Kenna digging in
Austin, Carston and Jordan liked their cake also.
Gavin looked confused by his.
The whole crowd

All in all it was a nice day. But the time change made Gavin rather grumpy. So he was the one who had the least fun! It was fun to have all the friends there who mean something to me and to watch their children have a great time!

Evolution of a birthday cake

Chloe helped make Gavin's cake
She enjoyed both flavors!
Lots of cupcakes!
The pink one is eggless and milkless for baby Siena.

Almost finished....
The choo-choo's smoke stack says "Number one"!

And on display at the party with some decorations borrowed from Chloe's dinosaur set.
