Soooooo.....

I know that this happened a good three weeks ago, but school started pretty much right after. So, here are Chloe's birthday pictures! We'll start with her cake. She requested months ago that she have a snake cake. I took her at her word and three weeks later she is still talking about it. She knows what she likes.

It starts a very normal looking cake

Some creative cutting and some lovingly mixed green frosting...
Then some green sprinkles....
Maybe not THAT many!!
Add some creepy crawlies and you have a cake made for Chloe, by Chloe!

The finished product!
opening her presents in the morning from Grandma Elaine and Papa
Chloe's new Dora watch
cake and favors - the favor bags had gummy worms, plastic bugs, and bug stickers to stick with her creepy crawly party.
Chloe pretty much didn't stop smiling the whole time. Guess we are through with the shy phase!

More guests enjoying their dinner.
Ethan and Grayson were a hit at the party... oh yeah, and we enjoyed seeing you too Beth. ;)

Don't know if you can tell here, but the snake's tongue is a candle too.
Blowing out the candles with her "real" party guests - Emma and Kenna (the only two guests she really cared about!)

Love the cake. Did the whole snake come from one cake pan? I saw one similar to that for a Very Hungry Caterpillar cake.

Yeah... the snake was one cake. I cut the whole cake in half horizontally (getting two "o" shapes) and then cut both circles in half, getting a total of four "c" shapes. Then I flipped every other one to make the snake shape. Finally, I cut a wedge off the end and turned it to make the triangle snake head. I didn't get the idea from anywhere, just figured that it should work. DIdn't have a back up plan and we made it that morning, so I am very glad it did!
