Classical music came on and Chloe started jumping around. She asked me what I thought she was doing (technically the words were "Chloe doing mommy?") and I said I didn't know. She gave me a withering look and said... "ballet!" We haven't taught her the word or what it is, so who knows where it is coming from.

This is the only picture I have of Chloe on the actual day... here she is making a monster face in front of the monster. She sure is good at it!

Since Chloe's birthday will always be "back to school" weekend, I know I will never have time to make anything elaborate. So I decided to start an easier tradition. We will make and decorate the cake together. So, I made a cake, bought a bunch of terribly bright decorations and let Chloe go to town.

Chloe figured out real soon just to go to the source... the frosting container!
