So, this afternoon was Gavin's first nap in his big boy bed. We have been reading him bedtime stories in it for a while and today we cobbled together the side rails. Besides being an entirely different color, they actually aren't any different than the side rails on Chloe's bed. Doesn't he look so small in that big bed?
And yes, that is a comforter on the floor. I am not entirely sure this bugger won't crawl out.
Speaking of crawling out, it appears that Gavin's first day IN his big boy bed will coincide with the first day Chloe has learned to get OUT of hers. Last night we were watching a movie and we were greeted by a shadowy figure in the doorway. After jumping out of my skin, I realized it was Chloe. Now we have a whole new set of challenges. Doesn't she look so innocent? Don't let her fool you.
Chloe is super into pre-literacy skills right now. She has learned many of her letters and loves to engage in writing activities. Here she is picking out recipes and telling Dan what the ingredients are so we can make a shopping list. It is kind of fun to see my masters program before my very eyes.
