Dirt Bike Riding

I posted these on Facebook but since a third of our family doesn't use facebook I am trying out the link here.

This is Max driving his dirt bike. Kevin rides on the back to help but yesterday he did it all on his own.

A sneak peek at Chloe's ballet routine

Here is the first half of Chloe's recital piece. I LOVE how she counts out all the steps on her own. So cute. Anyway, stick it out until the bloopers at the end. Worth it. :)

Plum Passion

I painted Gigi's toe nails for the first time. Revlon's Plum Passion. She sat very still and didn't touch it when we were done. She didn't want to put her shoes on for a couple days.

Some random photos

It has been a while since we have done decent photographing of our kids and it will be at least a few weeks more. School this year has been a little stressful and this is the most stressful time of all. But it is almost over and then, let the photos begin. Until then, here is one big photo/video dump off of my phone.
Chloe shooting basketball in princess dress with ballerina toe point!
This one is for Dad and Charlie, do you remember how big this shirt was on him last year?
We went to a carnival and the kids loved the rides. They rode the really big rides too, but I was too busy clutching the railing in fear as my tiny tots were thrown around the sky.... so no pictures.
Going in to yell at them the other day I discovered this. It is so hard to tell them to be quiet when they are reading.... to each other!
Sarah - the triops died. It got below 73 degrees at night. But we are going to try again this summer when I am PRAYING for it to get below 73 degrees and it never does. But here is my science girl completely transfixed.
May is melanoma awareness month. I bought a shirt for work this year. Are YOU wearing sunscreen?
We went to a birthday party on steroids last month. A bouncy house.
Horse rides.
Pin the tail on the donkey... on a REAL DONKEY!
We also went to see the movie hop. Chloe had already been to the movies but this was the first full length movie for Gavin and the first time I took them together.
Blurry as I hadn't yet figured out all the settings on my phone.

Sports with a twist

My kids love sports.... but they may be played with their own little quirks. Chloe likes to play basketball in full princess regalia. Gavin likes to play the "bully" position in soccer... you know, the person who stands in the goal? The "bully"!

Dancin' fool

Or foolish dancing?

Pin the Tail on the....

Real donkey?? This was one fancy birthday party!!

Mother's Day 2

Mother's Day

We went to Tower Hill Botanical Garden which is about 15 minutes from our house. What a wonderful surprise! The gardens and facility are just beautiful. We look forward to going back again soon and maybe even becoming members.

Big Truck Day

Big Truck Day was a big hit again this year with Evan. Nick didn't like it so much. It gets really loud with all the honking horns!

Easter Morning

We didn't get very many good pictures this Easter. The kids had a great time finding and digging into their Easter candy.

Easter in MA

Evan wanted to leave this carrot for "Easter" as he calls the Easter bunny!

Movies

I forgot to post the pictures of Max going to his first movie. He was really excited the whole time and made sure everyone in the theater knew it.

Spring break/ Easter

Spring break went as follows:
Thursday - egg dying and (not pictured) a trip to the movies with mom and kids to see Hop.

Chloe made monsters this year.

Some more of Chloe's monsters
Gavin made dinosaur eggs this year
Chloe took this picture herself after insisting we needed a "family portrait"
Friday (not pictured) - we spent all day at the natural history and air and space smithsonians. The kids love to go into DC and hit the museums.

Saturday - Hang around the house and just relax!

Sunday - Easter Eggs and bunny cakes!
Yup, this sums him up pretty well.
When Gavin found his empty Ester basket he said, "Huh? There's no candy in there!" Chloe told him he would have to find the candy and everything was okay again. :)

Chloe on Easter morning...
Gavin on Easter morning (by the way, does anyone notice this isn't our house? Nothing in our beds were blooming yet)
If you can see the Easter baskets through the cheesy grin, you might notice they are sun hats.

"Oh my!"
"Candy!!"

I felt like I lost a little of myself buying the disney princess barbies... but look at that face. So I sold a little of my soul. Totally worth it.
Gavin's Easter basket hat
Chloe asked to make Easter cupcakes... this is all I could come up with out of my pantry. So, they are a tad strange, but bunny-ish and the kids love eating a cupcake that comes with 6 marshmallows of varying sizes.

Monday- outside playing with Gavin's new soccer ball and goal as well as EATING the bunny cakes.

Tuesday - back to work. :( At least the end is in sight!
