Spring break/ Easter
Spring break went as follows:
Thursday - egg dying and (not pictured) a trip to the movies with mom and kids to see Hop.
Chloe made monsters this year.
Some more of Chloe's monsters
Gavin made dinosaur eggs this yearChloe took this picture herself after insisting we needed a "family portrait"
Friday (not pictured) - we spent all day at the natural history and air and space smithsonians. The kids love to go into DC and hit the museums.
Saturday - Hang around the house and just relax!
Sunday - Easter Eggs and bunny cakes!
Yup, this sums him up pretty well.
When Gavin found his empty Ester basket he said, "Huh? There's no candy in there!" Chloe told him he would have to find the candy and everything was okay again. :)
If you can see the Easter baskets through the cheesy grin, you might notice they are sun hats.
"Oh my!"
"Candy!!"
I felt like I lost a little of myself buying the disney princess barbies... but look at that face. So I sold a little of my soul. Totally worth it.
Gavin's Easter basket hat
Chloe asked to make Easter cupcakes... this is all I could come up with out of my pantry. So, they are a tad strange, but bunny-ish and the kids love eating a cupcake that comes with 6 marshmallows of varying sizes.

Spring
Here are just an odd assortment of pictures. I figure Easter pics will come with a vengeance here soon so I thought I had better get my act in gear and post them.
I have a love/hate thing with this picture of Gavin because he looks so darn old. When did my baby become a boy?Daycare crew at their morning "bus stop" behind my school. We're missing Mckenna, but you get the idea. Please don't think they usually sit still like this.
Gavin likes the chicks
Baby duck at Dan's school
Bubble blowing at Grandma Carol's
Blurry pic of the happy couple (Dan's cousin Ron and his wife Amy)
While in NC visiting my mom and heading to Ron's wedding, we partied with the Easter Bunny. We got to eat breakfast, have balloon creations made for us, make a craft (bunny picture frame), listen to a book read aloud, and then watch classic Peter Cottontail (claymation) on the big movie screen all at the local movie theater for the price of 3 pairs of gently used shoes. A lot of fun!!
This is my daughter's opinion of the Easter Bunny. She later announced to the whole theater that this was just a man in a costume.... sigh. I don't envy her kindergarten teacher.Gavin's balloon dinosaur hat.

Florida 2011
We had a really nice, albeit busy, trip to Florida. We visited Celebration (saw a baby gator and ate ice cream), Blue Springs National Park (where we swam in the river and later rented canoes getting up close to alligators and over the top of manatee), SeaWorld (2 times--would go back a third if they would've let us in, so much to see, do, and experience), Downtown Disney (ate at T-Rex restaurant, dug for "fossils," and took in all the free Disney we could), my aunt's house (BBQ and lots of swimming), and the beach at Cape Canaveral (sun, sand, and waves).
